There is much debate about homosexuality in the media and in private parlors about the rights of this group of people, their predisposition at birth, the common plight shared with African-Americans, disdain for homophobia and intolerrance, emphathy & compassion for those having difficulty fitting into society, etc. The discussions are endless. What does the word of God have to say about sexual relationships between men with men and women with women. The book of Romans gives us a little insight.
Romans 1:24-32
"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves;
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themsleves that recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful;
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
When the final words are said and the the final verdict is rendered, really the only judgement that will matter is that of the Most High God.
Our opinions are mute if they are not lined up with the Creator's word. So it behooves us to introspectively review our own lives, making sure that we are free of sin (or at least humble enough to recognize our sins and ask forgiveness of our sins) and guard our hearts and minds from being beguiled into thinking that sin, of any kind will get God's approval.
ALL SIN REQUIRES REPENTANCE. If we should ever reach a point where we refuse to recognize sin as sin, then God have mercy on our souls.
So you think you're in love but you aren't quite sure if your mate's love is mutual? There are a few signs that indicate true love.
Here's one sign of real love.
Patience
Life is full of twists and turns. The only predicatable thing about life is change. Someone once described Life as being full of hills and valleys, kind of like two rails on a railroad tract, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life. No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on. And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.
You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems.
If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness, "which is my problem, my issues, my pain." But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.
When your relationship is filled with strife and contention and you seemingly argue constantly, then there is a good chance that self-centeredness is the culprit. It takes two to argue. It also takes two to communicate. Issues need to be worked through with patience. The more patience you witness in your relationship, the more love is present. If you have patience, then you have love.
" Love is patient..."
Without patience there is so self control, and you leave not only yourself open but your relationship open to all sorts of unneccesary problems, pain and drama. Get a grip on yourself, ask God for patience, and you'll get a better grip on life.
"In your patience possess ye your souls."
